Who can join/Prerequisites*
This workshop is for movers who already have some experience with handstands. If you can hold a handstand against the wall for 10 seconds, you're ready to join and if you can hold a free handstand even better. ☺️
This workshop is designed for those who are passionate about building a solid and sustainable handstand practice. Our focus will be on clean technique and efficiency—key elements for long-term progress and injury prevention.

Workshop theme: Foundations & Alignment
We’ll explore the essential components of a strong handstand:
- Proper body alignment
- Safe and effective entries into handstand
- Conditioning exercises to build strength and resilience
- Mobility and recovery exercises
Whether you're a beginner or refining your line, this workshop will give you tools to deepen your awareness and control in the handstand.

Meet the Teacher: Nikoleta Koutitsa – experienced handstand teacher & professional dancer
Nikoleta is a professional contemporary dancer from Greece, now based in Berlin. She’s been performing since 2014 and has recently added partner acrobatics and handstands to her practice.
If you take a look at her Instagram @acro.hands.niko, you might think that she’s forgotten how to stand on her feet ‒ that’s how much handstand content you will find.
Handstands are her personal playground: a time to explore tiny details, refine movement, and grow. She brings that same joy into her teaching, helping other adults discover what their bodies can do upside-down. She approaches movement with a playful mindset, using awareness as both a creative tool and a path to personal growth.
In Berlin Nikoleta teaches handstand classes on a weekly basis and now we are excited to have her teaching two workshops here in Copenhagen.
